“Burma Shave” Signs

Those who’ve Passed a Certain Age,
might Remember Roadside Rage.
Not the Kind that Made you Mad,
now they’re Gone and It’s just Sad.

Well before the Internet,

Rhyming with a Sense of Humor,
for Everyone – Not just Consumer.

Driving down a Two-lane Road,
filled with Boredom Overload.
Up ahead you Spy those Signs,
anticipate their Catchy Rhymes.

Spaced apart – Those clever Sticks,
that You Read at Sixty-six.

by ’63 they Fell Apart.

Old Sitcom’s they’ve Resurrected,
Rhyming Signs should be Protected.
